Duetta is a product of MDO, a technology company based in Richland, Washington. We build practical tools that solve real problems for real businesses.

About MDO

MDO grew out of TFDM LLC, founded in 2012. The MDO brand came later as a response to the exploding AI ecosystem and the opportunities it creates for solving long-standing business problems.

Our roots are in telecom. Starting with ISP management back in 1998, through building wireless networks stretching across Eastern Washington, to running backend operations for a four-state facilities-based CLEC managing millions of minutes. That background means we understand uptime, billing, reporting, and all the operational minutiae that comes with keeping communication systems running.

But MDO isn't just telecom. We've built inventory management systems using NFC scanning, route optimization web apps, ag-tech solutions, and more. What ties it together is an incredibly diverse technical background that lets us speak to businesses across industries in a way that sounds native to them, understand the problems they're facing, and build solutions that are simple and direct.

Why Duetta Exists

A friend runs a hardware company & lumberyard. When he lost his one bilingual employee, he lost a significant chunk of his customer base almost overnight. Contractors who preferred Spanish simply had to go elsewhere.

That got us thinking. Language barriers affect millions of people and countless businesses across the US. The lost productivity, the missed sales, the customers who can't get help - the numbers are staggering. And for something as simple as a language barrier in our day and age, that's not something we need to tolerate anymore.

So we built Duetta. Real-time translation that integrates into the phone systems businesses already use. No ripping and replacing. No massive training effort. Just a practical solution to a problem that shouldn't still exist.

Our Approach

We sit down with business owners, hear their pain points, and figure out how to solve them. Not how to sell them something we already built, but how to actually fix what's broken.

Our philosophy is simple: the solution fits the customer, not the other way around. We don't dictate how you run your business. We build tools flexible enough that you choose how to implement them without disrupting what already works.

Looking Ahead

HIPAA readiness is on our roadmap, along with additional languages and expanded service areas. As partners bring us into new industries, we'll prioritize the capabilities that make the biggest difference for the businesses we serve.
